Saturday, January 5th
Seattle Seahawks @ Dallas Cowboys – 8:15pm – FOX
The late Saturday game will be an exciting matchup between two defensive minded teams looking to make waves in the playoffs. Including today’s game, Russell Wilson has been to the playoffs six of his seven years in the NFL. Dak Prescott is making his second appearance, and hopes for a different outcome than the close loss at home in his rookie season. Looking for a Free bet tip on this NFL game?

Seattle Seahawks (10-6)
The Seahawks have been sneaky good in my opinion. Maybe they aren’t getting as much love since the 12th man isn’t as dominant as in the past (still 6-2 at home this year). Maybe because they don’t have a catchy nickname for their defense anymore. But this team can control the ball, and put up points with the best of them.
If you look at the passing totals for Seattle, you might wonder if they are in a time warp and not adjusting to the new shootout style in the NFL. This is deceiving since Russell Wilson just tossed for over 3400 yards, and 35 touchdowns.
Yes the run game comes first, and they are not afraid to run in any situation. Chris Carson has become the lead back for Seattle getting close to 20 carries a game this year. If he can set the tone and keep his streak of 100+ yard games going (currently at three), the team might have their way with the Cowboys.
Dallas Cowboys (10-6)
Zeke and Dak are back! For the first time since their rookie seasons, the Dallas duo get another home game in the playoffs. The last time was a field goal loss to the Packers in the final minutes. Will the defense change the outcome for this year?
Ever since the Amari Cooper trade, the Cowboys made a turnaround that vaulted them into the playoffs, winning seven of their final eight games. Teams have been keying on him lately, but the rest of the receivers have been picking up the slack and the offense can air it out when necessary.
Dallas also loves to grind it out on the ground, and Ezekiel Elliott had a great year, rushing for over 4.7 yards a carry and earning over 1400 yards in 15 games. Plus, he is such a key weapon in the receiving game for Dallas, grabbing 77 catches this year and giving him over 130 all purpose yards a game.
Defense will be the name of the game for both teams looking to move on past the wild card round. These teams did meet early in the year, with Seattle coming out on top at home. There are question marks for both teams on the front line, so it will be interesting to see how serious the injuries are come game time.
For my free NFL bet tip today, I totally see why Vegas has set the line under 3. Dallas is hot, and minus a major hiccup against Indianapolis, they have been running over the rest of the NFL. What sticks out in that game is how Dallas couldn’t stop the run vs. the Colts and Marlon Mack. Will Chris Carson and the Seahawks have the same success? I am saying they will, and will take the points on the road. If you can find this game at +3, pile on! The line has been floating between the open of +2.5 down to as little as +1. For my free pick, I am taking the points and the Seahawks to squawk…oops, squeak one out in Dallas.
