NBA – Portland Trail Blazers @ Houston Rockets 8:05pm
Look at me, first tip and I am taking a road dog in the NBA. Losers of the last 3, Houston just doesn’t look like the Rockets of last year, and it seems like the problems won’t be solved tonight versus the visiting Blazers.
With no injuries to report, and a two game winning streak on the line, this spot seems too good to be true getting this many points. Yes, they did get creamed their last 2 times as visitors against the Spurs and the Mavs, but the matchup still seems to be even enough to take the free points and get a cover.
NCAA Basketball -Colorado Buffaloes @ New Mexico Lobos 9pm
College teams on the road are definitely a different story, I swear I have trouble finding accurate ways to know how many points home court advantage is at most of these school arenas. This just might be a perfect example of throwing that out the window and hopping on the better overall team. Colorado has been quiet so far, tripping up once early against San Diego, but haven’t really been challenged since. Still grinding through the early out of conference schedule pits them against a New Mexico team that is hoping to keep the score respectable compared to their last two games at New Mexico State (a 100-65 loss), and versus St. Marys (85-60). I don’t expect this to be too much different, and see Colorado coasting quite nicely in the second half to a cover.
